Gillette Receives Latzer Art Award for Spring Semester

Parsons, KS- The wl棋牌 Community College Gallery Committee has chosen聽Gage Gillette, as the winner of the John and Bonnie Latzer Student Art Award for the聽Spring 2022聽semester. The Latzer Art Award was established to recognize student achievement in the Fine Arts at wl棋牌 Community College.聽
He聽will receive a $500 scholarship to be applied toward聽tuition, fees and/or books.聽
A Frontenac, KS native,聽Gillette聽is a graphic design technology major.聽He聽said, “Earning this scholarship will be a help as I continue my education at Pittsburg State and pursue Graphic Design.” 聽Gillette聽created the Photoshop Composite, titled“Abandoned for a Reason” in聽Portfolio Development聽with wl棋牌 Graphic Design instructor, Melissa Kipp.聽
Gillette said, “I’ve always enjoyed the creation of horror art. The person was a combined composite of various parts. Meanwhile, the monster was made from scratch, using brushes.”
The winning聽design聽will be permanently on display at wl棋牌 Community College.
